Crews assist on early morning spill control
Fri. Nov 15th 2013

Early this morning, Rescue 61 was requested for spill control services from a 2 car crash. Units arrived to find an active leak from the saddle tank and began containment efforts for a substantial amount of diesel fuel already on the ground. Hazmat 2 responded to offload the remaining diesel from the tanks and assist in containment, while fire police from 31 (bareville) assisted with traffic control. Units were in service for approximately 3 hours.
